Writing isn't just what I do.  It's who I am.

I write erotic romance because the characters intrigue me.  It's an edgy genre with tough heroes and feisty heroines.  This genre gives me an opportunity to work with truly damaged characters who find strength deep within to overcome their failings.  My paranormal historical short stories are so much fun to write.  There's not a lot of this subgenre on the market, so my imagination can go wild.  My longer contemporary works involve characters with serious internal conflict and pasts that have left them grasping for any kind of control they can find.  This control, as in real life, often comes through physical contact.

Erotic literature can have a pornographic quality, but I refuse to go there.  You won't find gratuitous physicality in my books.  Every look, touch, and encounter has a purpose.  My stories are about characters finding love, healing, and meaning in a world in which they've lost faith.  New beginnings.  Hope.  That's what keeps me writing.
